I established my online Virtual Assistant practice in 2006, specialising in the accurate verbatim transcription of digital court recordings for both civil and criminal proceedings within the Scottish Courts and the Courts of England and Wales, including Fatal Accident Inquiries and Coroners’ Courts.

 

My experience also includes the transcription of public inquiries and formal public hearings. Selected assignments have included daily transcription throughout the Rosepark Care Home Fatal Accident Inquiry; the Dalmally Public Inquiry; the Independent Inquiry into the Issues Raised by Paterson; and public hearings for the
Boundary Commission for Scotland.

I have extensive experience working with complex and sensitive witness evidence and multi-speaker proceedings, often to demanding same-day or daily turnaround requirements. My wider transcription experience includes police interviews, ABE interviews, research and HR interviews, internal company investigations, and international conferences, including assignments relating to UNHCR and UNDP, as well as telephone and virtual meetings and subtitles for television documentaries.
